Timothy Duane Baker age 56, a resident of 751 Harding Road, Chocowinity, NC died Thursday December 28, 2017 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday December 31, 2017 at Washington Assembly of God officiated by Rev. Daniel Haskett.
Mr. Baker was born in Beaufort County on July 14, 1961. He graduated from Chocowinity High School. Timothy was a member of Washington Assembly of God Church. He worked as a Dietary Aid for the past 25 years at Ridgewood Manor Nursiing Home in Washington where he was a big part of a family of employees. Timothy was known for being humble and would give much of his free time back to the patients by speaking with them and keeping them entertained. He had great pride in being a Washington Redskins fan, loved singing gospel music and was one of the best around at playing the saxophone. Tim's kindness and love for people will be missed by the staff of Ridgewood Manor, his church family and all that knew him.
Mr. Baker is survived by a sister: Deborah J. Lupo and husband Frank of Ithaca, NY; nephews: John Lupo and Frankie Lupo and wife Stephanie of NY; nieces: Brittany Daghita and husband Joey, Kaili Lupo and Dreyvan Lupo all of NY; great niece: Kailynn Lupo and great nephews: Kristian Lupo, Kyler Lupo, Jaiden Lupo and Peyton Lupo. He was preceded in death by his father Peter R. Baker.
