Samuel Cimino

November 27, 1945 - September 15, 2023
Samuel Cimino
Samuel Cimino, bid farewell to his beloved motorcycle rides and embraced a higher journey on September 15, 2023, in Greenville, NC. Born in Brooklyn, NY on November 27, 1945, Sam gracefully aged to 77 years old.

While airplanes were his craftsmanship during his work experience in aircraft maintenance, it was the roar of engines on two wheels that truly fueled his heart. His passion for GRMC Edgecombe knew no limits, as he spent countless hours cruising the open roads, leaving trails of awe and envy in his wake.

As a Navy Veteran, Samuel exemplified the values of honor, loyalty, and dedication that he carried with him throughout his life. He personified what it meant to be a patriotic citizen, proudly serving his country and upholding its ideals.

Samuel's heart belonged to his treasured wife, Laura Cimino, who held the title of the most important person in the world to him, and him to her. Their unwavering love and companionship brought light and happiness to both their lives. Samuel's caring nature knew no bounds, as he would do anything for anyone in need without hesitation.

In addition to his wife, Samuel leaves behind his son Samuel JR Cimino, two nephews, Robert Buchholz and Daniel Buchholz, along with his cousin Sal Cimino and their beloved families.

Those wishing to pay their respects and share their reminiscences are invited to a visitation on Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. at Joseph B. Paul Jr. Funeral Service in Washington, NC. During this gathering, we will celebrate Sam's life and honor the many moments that made him the unforgettable character we all cherished.

Samuel will forever be remembered as a dedicated husband, loyal friend, and a man of unwavering character. He lived his life to the fullest, cherishing every moment, and spreading kindness wherever he went. His enduring love for motorcycles, aircraft, his military service, and his commitment to his loved ones and friends will always be treasured and remembered fondly.

Joseph B. Paul Jr. Funeral Service is honored to be assisting the Cimino Family.

    Salvatore Cimino Jr says:
Sam and I had a special bond from the first time I remember meeting him as a tiny little boy. My father always spoke of Sam with a smile and energy unique to only his favorite people. I was so happy whenever Sam would make an unannounced visit to see me and Dad. Our connection remained over the last 40 years, as far back as I have memories. I only wish that I had the opportunity to spend more time with him as an adult. Sam was always compassionate, empathetic and honest. My wife, Fabiola, sons Savio and Vincente and I will miss Sam greatly and never forget him. We wish him a wonderful time in heaven, God bless you Cuz!

We called Sam, "Eyes" in the motorcycle club. My first memories of him were walking around with a big Nikon camera strapped around his neck taking pictures of everyone at the club parties, and functions. My most memorable time with him was our bike trip to Michigan! His smile, laughter, and New York accent will be remembered forever! RIP "Eyes"! ML&R. Scrubs
