Rosmarie E. Buzby, age 83, a resident of Washington, NC , passed away Saturday March 5, 2022, at the Ridgewood Rehabilitation & Living Center.
She was born in East Berlin on March 15, 1938 to the late Helmuht and Elizabeth Blauert and led a life that movies are made of. Rosmarie escaped Communist East Berlin as a teenager where her life changed forever. In her twenties, she met and married her handsome and charming American solder, Walter Buzby Jr. They returned to America to raise two wonderful children.
Along with her parents, Rosmarie is predeceased by her son-in-law Kurt Werkheiser.
Rosmarie is survived by her loving husband Walter Buzby Jr.; two daughters: Diana Jones and husband Christopher, and Mary Werkeiser; three grandsons; Cole Werkeiser, Ryan Jones, and Colin Jones; two granddaughters: Casey Werkheiser and Lauren Jones, and her brother Dietmeier Blauert.
Family and friends will greatly miss her presence.
