Rachel Baker Bridgeman 79, of Washington passed away peacefully at home on November 1st 2020. Rachel was born on November 18th 1940 to Leland and Annie Mae Baker. December 22, 1959 she married Kenneth Bridgeman.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30PM Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Joseph B. Paul, Jr. FDL & Washington Funeral and Cremation Service. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Rachel worked at Singer Furniture Co in Chocowinity NC for many years, later working at the First United Methodist Church in Washington until her health declined. Rachel was a devoted Mother and Grandmother. Her greatest joy was cooking for her family and spending time with her great grandchildren who she loved dearly.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years Kenneth Bridgeman one son Ken Bridgeman (Beth) one daughter Delores Manning (John Wayne) her grandchildren Kristen Anderson (Pete), Samantha Bridgeman and Shannon Manning. Great Grandchildren: Madison, Peyton, Landon, Jordan, Jayden and Jason. She is also survived by her brother Leland (Buddy) Baker and sister Peggy Rouse.

Rachel was preceded in death by her parents Leland and Annie Mae Baker, brother James (Red) Baker and brother Joseph Baker and sisters Eva Mae Moore and Betty Jean Nanny.
