Phyllis Midyette Hudson, 81 of Washington, NC passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Vidant Hospital. Phyllis was born June 10, 1940 to William and Almyra Midyette.
Services will be held 3:00 pm, Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Joseph B. Paul, Jr. & Washington Funeral & Cremation. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until the funeral hour at the funeral home and other times at the home of her son Bobby Beddard, 1045 Horsepen Swamp Road, Washington, NC.
She is survived by her children: Bob Beddard and his wife Mary: William "Bud" Bedard, James Beddard and his wife Linda and a daughter, Karen Midgette and her husband Greg. Phyllis also raised a granddaughter: Jasmin Beddard as well as a stepson, Timmy Hudson as her own.
She is also survived by one brother: Glen Midyette, five sisters: Myra Faucette, Donna Parker, Carol Leggett, Cheryl Bell and Norma Midyette.
She has 5 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two of her grandchildren: Phillip Thomas Beddard and Amanda L. Beddard.
Phyllis was a longtime resident of Washington, NC. She worked many years at National Spinning and later at Flanders Filters until her retirement at age 72. She was known to be a hard worker and enjoyed doing for others. She especially loved her family and enjoyed cooking for the many get – togethers she had for her family.
Phyllis will truly be missed for her kindness and concern she always had for others.
