Nancy Brooks Wiggins age 72 a resident of Chocowinity, NC died Saturday, February 23, 2019 at her home.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Washington Assembly of God officiated by Rev. Donnie Smith. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 26, 2019 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at Washington Assembly of God.
Nancy was born on November 14, 1946 in Kentucky the daughter of the late Charles Paul Brooks and Deltis Suttles Brooks. She was the most loving mom that anyone could ask for. Nancy loved all of her grandchildren and without fail she would ask about them daily. When she was able to get out and about she loved to plant flowers or do yard work and sometimes even went fishing. She always gave her best as both a mother and a fiancé. Nancy fought hard in life and never gave up, she was the strongest woman we have ever known. We are going to miss her, but her love, advice and memories will carry on. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by four daughters: Tammy Coins and husband James of Mt. Airy, NC; Melisa Dixon and husband Mike of Washington, NC; Jennifer Tetterton and husband Carlous of Washington, NC; Christie Elks and husband Billy of Washington, NC; a son: James Wiggins and wife Mindy of Missouri; fiancee Mark A. Ball of Chocowinity, NC; a brother: Charles Ross Brooks of Wilson, NC; fifteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
