Mary O'Neal Ross
Mary O'Neal Ross age 83 a resident of 8925 NC Hwy 32 N in Washington, NC passed away Wednesday July 12, 2017 at her home.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, July 17, 2017 at St. Clair's Church of Christ officiated by Craig Hagen. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Sunday, July 16, 2017 at St. Clair's Church of Christ. Rick Godley, Adam Burbage, Thomas Burbage, Austin Wallace, Matt Boyd and Tom Burbage will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Ross was born in Hyde County on December 30, 1933 the daughter of the late Theodore Henry O'Neal and Annie Elizabeth Cox O'Neal. She was a member of St. Clair's Church of Christ where she, was in charge of the nursery for years taking care of many generations of children. Mrs. Ross had a strong love for her family and especially enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include five daughters: Dorinda Godley and husband Ricky of Bath; Cindy Shaw and husband David of Washington; Darla Burbage and husband Tom of Washington; Dale Nava of Chocowinity and Regina Boyd of Washington; 12 grandchildren: Rick Godley, Matt Boyd, Schyler Smith, Lindsay Boyd, Thomas Burbage, Jr., Adam Burbage, Hailey Burbage, Kelly Luckie, Heather Dixon, Ashley Mitchell, Brianna Bland and David Allen Bland, Jr. and 21 great-grandchildren. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Fenner Joyner Ross, Jr., a grandson Mitchell Godley and a son-in-law Greg Boyd.

life and she was a hard working and loving mother and lady. I enjoyed the time that I worked with her
at The Quarterdeck in the late 80's and I learned from her the meaning of life and love. May God bless
