Louis Joseph Visco, age 75, a resident of Chocowinity, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 28, 2022.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday November 2, 2022 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at Joseph B. Paul Jr. Funeral Service.
A memorial service will be held Thursday November 3, 2022 at the Mother of Mercy Catholic Church beginning at 10:00 am officiated by Father Michael Schuetz.
Louis was born to the late Louis and Mildred (Reilly) Visco on October 29, 1946 in Newark, NJ.
He was a wonderful example of a family man, always present and available to all. Lou had a gift of being able to connect with people from all walks of life with ease, forever providing loved ones and friends with a positive outlook and an infectious smile.
Louis loved a day on the golf course, his time at the beach, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. His role as Grandpa was one that he enjoyed with great pride and gusto. Lou, along with his loving wife, provided their children and grandchildren with love, advice, guidance, and the foundation to be good people.
He is survived by his wife Vivian and their children: Nicole Visco and Fiancé Michael Kleissler, Adam Visco and spouse Maria, three grandchildren: Sebastian, Nikolina, and Odessa, his brother Robert Visco and spouse Eva, his sister Felicia Liloia and spouse Pat, sisters in law: Barbara Visco, Jeanne Morris and spouse Peter, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Along with his parents, Louis was also predeceased by his brother John.
Louis will be missed by all that were fortunate enough to spend time with him. We should all strive to be the type of person that he was, and carry his style of life, humor, and love to all we encounter.
Louis thought highly of our first responder and military members. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to honor those who serve.
