Leonard Carrol Paul Jr., age 69, a resident of Bath, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday April 16, 2022 at the Vidant Medical Center of Greenville, NC.
A visitation will be held on Saturday April 23, 2022, 5:00pm - 7:00pm at the Joseph B. Paul Jr. Funeral Home Washington, NC
He was born on March 9, 1953, to the late Leonard Carrol Paul Sr. and Etta Lee Paul (Sullivan) in Pantego, NC.
Construction workers like Leonard, are often rough and tough with calloused hands. The hard-working, football and wrestling watching fisherman who loves the outdoors, especially the water. Leonard was all that and so much more. He was a dedicated and loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. A man who loved and protected his family with all that he had. A Christian man who was kind, understanding, and never met a stranger or anyone that he wouldn’t help when needed. He was also a music lover who played the drums whenever possible and a great dancer. He had a large personality and a large, kind heart that will be dearly missed.
Leonard is survived by his fiancée, Audrey Jones of Bath, NC; son and daughter in law, Emmanuel and Leann Paul of Chocowinity, NC; two stepdaughters, Sharon (Wayne) Dixon, Leah Bunch; stepson, Danny Midyette; three grandsons, Isaac Paul, Mason Paul, and Marvin Paul; great-grandson, Hudson Paul; two Brothers, Larry (Linda) Paul and Lonnie (Rosalie) Paul.
A private family memorial service may be held at a later date.
Leonard was a loving and dedicated family man. His unexpected passing had devastated them and left them with many expenses. In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations for medical and other expenses and may be made by clicking here
