Kristen Credle Owens, affectionately known as Sissy, was born on July 5, 1970, in Washington, NC. On January 16, 2024, she peacefully passed away at ECU Medical Center in Greenville, NC. Sissy was 53 years old at the time of her passing.

Sissy had a deep love for riding Harley motorcycles and enjoyed the freedom it brought to her life. She cherished the open road and the exhilaration it provided. However, above all else, Sissy was a devoted mother to her beloved son, Spencer Beverly. He was the center of her universe, and she showered him with unconditional love and support throughout his life.

Sissy was preceded in death by her father, Glenn Overton Credle Sr., and her mother, Frances Credle. She leaves behind a heartfelt legacy and will be fondly remembered by her surviving family and friends. Two brothers, Glenn Overton Credle Jr. and Ellis William Bright, mourn her loss deeply. Additionally, Sissy is survived by her son, Spencer Beverly, who will forever cherish the memories they created together. Her nieces, Heather and Breanna Bright, as well as Sydnie Credle, were also dear to her heart. Lastly (but certainly not leastly) her best friend for life, Jo Leighty shares in the grief of her passing.

A visitation to honor and remember Sissy will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Joseph B. Paul Jr. Funeral Service. The Celebration of Life service will be on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at 1:30 p.m., with committal immediately afterward at St. Clairs Church Cemetery in Bath, NC.

Sissy touched the lives of those around her with her kindness, warmth, and love. Her absence will be deeply felt, but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she find eternal peace and rest in the arms of her creator.

Joseph B. Paul Jr. Funeral Service is honored to assist the Owens family.

It's really tough to wrap your mind around the loss of a love one, and I can only say that as time comes and goes you will recover each day and you will forever hold tight to the many memories that you each one shared with Sissy. I thought of how happy your mama must be to see her little girl, it seems like yesterday that Frankie & Glenn left us for their forever home. Mike, Buddy hold onto all those memories and make many more happy moments with her son and Jo I know you will miss that forever friend of yours. I send you each one love & prayers and my heartfelt condolences at this time and in the days, weeks and months to come. Blessings
