Kirk Douglas Smith age 68, a resident of Plymouth, NC passed away at his home surrounded by family on Friday, November 9, 2018 .
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, November 12, 2018 at Plymouth United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall at the church.
Kirk was born in Washington County on January 10, 1950 the son of the late William Andrew Smith, Sr. and Nellie Brown Smith.
He worked as an electrician with Weyerhaeuser now known as Domtar Paper Mill. Kirk loved the outdoors and enjoyed playing golf whenever possible..He had a strong love for his family and loved people in general.
Kirk is survived by two sisters: Mildred Swain and Judy Spruill both of Plymouth,NC and two brothers: Andy Smith of Fayetteville, NC and Alfred Smith and wife Julie of Jamesville, NC.
