Kenneth "Kenny" Leon Braswell age 59 a resident of 1869 Hop Tyson Road, Greenville, NC died Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Calvary Pentecostal Church in Greenville, NC officiated by Pastor Donald T. Bradshaw.
Kenny was born in Craven County on September 22, 1959 the son of the late Arthur William Braswell, Sr. and Adell Boyd Braswell. He later moved to Greenville where he had lived for the past forty years. Kenny worked with Waste Industries as a mechanic for a period of years, but was best known for his love of being a tractor trailer driver which he did most of his working career. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
Kenny is survived by a sister: Janice Marie Hawkins and husband Dave of Grimesland, NC; a brother Arthur William Braswell, Jr. of Greenville, NC; two nieces: Donna Williams and Nancy Waters both of Grimesland, NC; a nephew: Dave Hawkins, Jr. of Macclesfield, NC; five great nephews: Bryan Williams, Brandon Waters, Hunter Williams, Davis Smith, Noah Hawkins and two great nieces: Halie and Riley Hawkins.

    The very first moment I met Kenny, he became a friend, someone very dear to me. He had such an infectionous laugh and smile. His heart overflowed with love and caring for all those he knew abd knew him. Never again shall such a gentle soul grace me as he did every moment i was near or far from him.
