Kaylie Alissa Cherry
Kaylie Alissa Cherry age 20, a resident of Chocowinity, NC died at her home on Friday, September 30, 2022.

Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced.

Kaylie was born in Llano, Texas on April 24, 2002 the daughter of Michael Ray Cherry, Sr. and Melissa Deloach.

She was a beloved daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend. She touched all our lives with her beautiful smile, kind heart. Her laugh was contagious, if she was laughing everyone would laugh. Kaylie loved nature, if it was taking long walks listening to wind blowing through the trees or going to the beach and sitting listening to the waves.
She also loved sloths, so if u saw a sloth you automatically thought of Kaylie, she loved taking pictures, the moons, ice coffee, and Tacos.
Kaylie was very close to her young siblings, her two youngest ones you could hear her call them her babies. She would always make sure if they needed anything she would help. Most of the time all they wanted was a warm hug. We will truly miss her though the most.
We ask that you remember Kaylie by helping nature save a tree or plant a tree so that she will look down on us and Smile!

She is survived by four brothers: Michael Ray Cherry, Jr. of Pembroke, NC; Scott Cherry of Ahoskie, NC; William Dale Earnhardt Cherry of Chocowinity, NC; Caleb Deloach of Texas; five sisters: Kara M. Cherry, Kalila R. Cherry, Melanie N. Cherry, Cheyenne Cherry all of Chocowinity, NC and Porshalyn Cherry of Kinston, NC.

Kalie was a kindhearted and loving young woman. Her unexpected and untimely passing has devastated her family and left them with many expenses. In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations for medical and other expenses and may be made by CLICKING HERE

Kaylie, I will forever miss your giggly laugh and amazing smile. You were one of the best cousins I could of ever had and I’m thankful for all our memories we made growing up. I’m not gonna lie and say going on with life without you is going to be easy. But all I can hope for is we will see each other again someday. And don’t worry I will look after your little sisters and make sure they hear all about the times I shared with their KK. I love you forever and ever cousin <3

    Ashley Chauncey says:
Kaylie was someone very dear to our family. She was more than just a niece or a cousin. She was, basically a daughter/sibling to us. Kaylie came into this world full of light a month and one day after our youngest son Robert was born. Robert and Kaylie grew up together. They played, laughed, shared hobbies and made memories. Kaylie was Roberts best friend from birth and always will be. Amber and Ashley looked at Kaylie as a little sister. They played dress up, had makeovers and did what all girls love to do, play with dolls. Tami and Rob were always there to help Kaylie. If she needed clothes or supplies they always made sure to help her get what she needed. Tami was Kaylie’s mom figure. Tami took the time to teach Kaylie about being a women. And how to do things only a mom would know. Some things we will always remember from Kaylie if how giggly she was. Her laugh was so contagious you couldn’t help but smile when your around her. She loved the moon and astrology. Kaylie also enjoyed photography. Tami and Rob noticed her love for this and bought Kaylie a camera for Christmas so she could take photography pictures like she loved to do. Kaylie also loved sloths. She admired how cute they were and how fun it would be to just hang in a tree all day. Our family is devastated to loose someone so young and close to us. We hope that she knows how much we love her and that we will never forget her. All we can do now is cherish the memories we have and hope she is looking down at us with a big smile. Until we meet again, the Chauncey family loves you KK!

Kaylie I am so thankful I got to know you and have you in my life. You always cared for your family and friends in a very special way. You loved your little sisters like they were your own children. You had such a beautiful heart that loved so much. I am very heartbroken and none of this is fair but I will never forget the kindness and friendship you showed me. I love you and will miss you forever.
