Kathryn Jean Ebe passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023 at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, NC with loved ones by her side.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00am at Oakdale Cemetery in Washington, NC on Friday, March 31, 2023.
She was born and raised in Westchester County, New York to the late Bernard Alexander Ebe and Frances Anne Donoghue. Kathy lived in the town of Dobbs Ferry and graduated from St. Matthews School in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY.
She enjoyed traveling to Europe, eventually traversing the entire continent - from Russia to Portugal, with England and Italy in between. She worked in New Jersey for a division of the English company Wedgewood, and for many years prior at the Brooklyn branch of Mount Sinai Hospital and retired after 25 years as the administrator of the hospital.
Kathy enjoyed laughing and being the New York bed and breakfast for all to stop in and stay while visiting New York. She and her husband Skeets lived in Brooklyn over 40 years, and after his passing in 2020 she moved to the Carolinas to be closer to family.
Kathy was loved by many and survived by her older sister: Bernadette (Larry); a sister-in-law: Betty Jo; three nephews: Sean (Temi), Eric (Jen), Robert and a niece Kimberly.
She enjoyed many laughs with her lifelong friend Maura.
The family would like to extend a special heartfelt thank you to Betty Jo being more than a sister-in-law, but a dear friend during Kathy’s time in the Carolinas.
The family would like to ask in lieu of flowers to please make a donation directly to the American Liver
Foundation, P.O. Box 299, West Orange, NJ 07052 or online by clicking here.
Joseph B. Paul Jr. Funeral Service is honored to assist the Ebe family.
