John “Jack” Satchwell Marsh, 93, of 6015 Jackson Swamp Road, Bath, NC died Wednesday, May 11, 2022.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, May 16th, 2022 at Oakdale Cemetery, Washington, NC with Elder Tony Rodman officiating.
Mr. Marsh was born on Feb 05, 1929. He was the son of the late Goethe and Vonnie Marsh.
He served in the army as Sergeant, 2nd Armored Division, in Germany 1951-1952. In 1954, he married the love of his life Mabel “Betty” Ellington. Mr. Marsh was a founding member of the Bath Volunteer Fire Department. He was also a farmer and owner of JS Marsh Farms. He loved his family tremendously. In his later years, he enjoyed traveling.
He is survived by his three sons: John (Carol) Marsh, Ben (Terrie) Marsh and Glenn (Susan) Marsh.
Papa had six grandsons: John (Kelly) Marsh, Travis (Ruth) Marsh, BJ Marsh (Summer), Case Marsh, Brandon (Maggie-fiancé) Marsh and Brock Marsh. Three great grandchildren Barrett Marsh, Ema Marsh and Nora Marsh. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Marsh, brother Jake Marsh and sister Faye Stevenson and special fur buddy, “Charlie”.
