Janice Jefferson Buck, 71 years of age, passed away on Friday, December 17th, 2021 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.

Janice was born on May 7th, 1950 in Chocowinity, North Carolina.

Janice married Danny Raeford Buck on November 10th, 1965, and served her country through her devotion to her husband, who served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Her greatest pleasure was caring for her two children and 11 grandchildren. Her most memorable characteristics were her witty sense of humor and her loving personality.

Janice is survived by her husband, Danny Buck, two sisters, Dorthy Mills and Gail Fornes White, two children and spouses, Michele Buck Laughinghouse and Jeff Laughinghouse, Danny Raeford Buck II and Tiffany Buck. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Jessica, Nicholas, Kaitlyn, Haley, Brandon, Xavier, Lilyana, Zoei, Elouise, Danny III, and Jaison.

The six men serving as her pallbearers will include: Dennis McLawhorn, Ronnie McLawhorn, Aaron Voliva, Alex McLawhorn, Nicholas Gleason, and Brandon Miller. She loved her family and friends unconditionally and will be missed by everyone who had the opportunity to know her.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens, officiated by Pastor Linwood Lewis. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Joseph B. Paul, Jr. Washington Funeral & Cremation.
