Jamal Saleeby Keith, age 73 of Durham, North Carolina, died May 5, 2019, at Duke Hock Family Pavilion in Durham.
Mrs. Keith was born in Washington, North Carolina, to Jimmie and Helen Saleeby. She is survived by her brother, Kareem Saleeby, of Washington; two sons, James A. Keith, Jr. and Christopher G. Keith;
two grandchildren, Justin Keith and Caleb Keith--all from Durham. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Keith was preceded in death by one son, Jason M. Keith.
Mrs. Keith was a 1964 graduate of Washington High School. She worked for years at Neal Middle School in Durham with special needs children whom she loved.
Graveside services will be held at Oakdale Cemetery on Wednesday, May 8, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Daniel Haskett officiating.

    Jimmy and Chris your momma was so proud of both of you and how you took on all everyday struggles and controversies. You were her world and it showed every time she saw you both. Kareem she cherished you so much and was always so excited and happy to see you, rather in person or on face time! She will always be with you in your hearts and memories!
