Hazel Wallace Jarvis
Hazel Wallace Jarvis age 81, a resident of 417 Main Street , Pinetown, NC died at her home surrounded by family on Saturday, May 26, 2018.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Woodard's Pond Church of Christ officiated by Eddie Gurganus and Kevin Cutler. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 1:00 PM until the service hour. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery in Washington.
Mrs. Jarvis was born in Beaufort County on July 6, 1936 the daughter of the late Ferd Wallace and Evelyn Gladys Waters Wallace. She married William "Billy" Elliott Jarvis who preceded her in death on September 29, 2015. Hazel was a member of the Woodard's Pond Church of Christ. She had a great love for the beach, her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Getting her family together and cooking for them on Sunday's was always a special time for her. Mrs. Jarvis will be greatly missed by her family and all that knew her.
Survivors include, two daughters: Brenda Kay Howell and Husband Whit of Pinetown; Stephanie Godley and husband Chris Beacham of Pinetown; five sons: Charlie "Tom" Woolard and wife Teresa of Washington; Kenny Wayne Woolard and wife Teresa of Pinetown: William "Billy" Jarvis, Jr. and wife Karen of Washington; Chris Jarvis and wife Kim of Bethel, Kevin Jarvis and wife Tamara of Mebane; two sisters: Ann Clark of Pinetown; Marlene Windley of Plymouth; fifteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister: Ethel Wallace Beacham, two brothers: Ronald Wallace, Elbert Wallace and a grandson A.J. Jarvis.
