Harry "Nick" Franklin Nixon, Jr. age 58, a resident of 660 Moore's Lane Grimesland, NC died Thursday, June 13, 2019 at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM Friday, June 21, 2019 at West Belhaven Church of Christ officiated by Minister James Scheffler. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 PM prior to the service at the church.
Nick was born in Beaufort County on December 5, 1960 the son of Harry Franklin Nixon, Sr. and the late Shirley Daniels Euler. He was a painter which he had started doing at a very young age. Nick was a very talented painter and did the best trim work around. He loved the Boston Red Sox and never missed an opportunity to watch their games even watching them right up to six weeks ago before becoming so sick he was unable to.
Survivors are a daughter: Crystal Nixon Solis of Grimesland, NC; father: Harry Nixon, Sr. of Belhaven, NC; two brothers: Robert Nixon of Pantego, NC; Carlton Nixon of Chocowinity, NC; sister: Melissa Sadler of Swan Quarter, NC; three grandchildren: Ricardo Solis lll, Gustavo Solis, Gabriella Solis and great-grandchild: Aila Lesley Guerrero-Solis. Along with his mother he was preceded in death by a brother: Ross Nixon.

    My deepest condolences to all of Nick's family, relatives and friends worked on several jobs were he was doing some painting. He was always pleasant and willing to lend a hand and pretty particular about his work. My he rest in peace.

    I recently found out Nick was sick and he and his family have been in my prayers. Nick always had a smile and I do not believe he ever forgot a name. Growing up, way younger days, we were almost neighbors. RIP Nick.
