Florence L Roberson age 68, a resident of 4077 Prison Camp Road, Williamston, NC passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Martin General Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Sweet Home Church of Christ officiated by Pastor Ward Sullivan. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the service hour at the church. Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Tyler Ange, Richard Justice, Jaquan Council-Bullock, Donald Gardner, Pete Pierce, Richard Allen and Joseph Justice.
Mrs. Roberson was born on August 26, 1948 in Martin County the daughter of the late Warren Adam Leggett, Jr. and Lizzie Marie Gardner Leggett. She later married Wilbur Ray Roberson who preceded her in death. Florence Ann enjoyed her music especially oldie goldies and country. Cooking and sewing were also one of her favorite things to do, but most of all she had a great love for her family especially spending time with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and all that knew her.
Survivors include one son: Danny Ray Roberson; a sister June L. Webb of Washington; a brother Michael H. Leggett of Williamston; four grandchildren: Betty Foster, Joshua Sanchez, Victoria Sanchez and Joseph Justice and five great-grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter: Vicky R. Foster; two sisters: Ruby Whitehurst and Mary Lou Cratt; a brother: Herbert Leggett and a grandson: William Foster, Jr.
