Edward Earl Bennett, lovingly known as Bud, passed away on July 19, 2023, at the age of 60 at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina.
Born on January 7, 1963, in Washington, Bud lived a life filled with laughter, adventure, and a whole lot of wit.
Bud spent his working years at The Robert's Company, where he displayed his impeccable skills as a welder. With nearly twenty certifications under his belt, he was truly a master of his craft. But it wasn't just work that defined Bud's life; his true passions lay in the great outdoors.
Hunting and fishing were more than just hobbies to Bud - they were his escape, his way of finding solace and peace. And if there was one thing Bud loved more than anything, it was spending time with his grandchildren. Their laughter and joy brought a sparkle to his eyes that nothing else could.
Bud's quick wit and infectious charm made him a friend to many. He had a way of making everyone around him feel comfortable and at ease. Whether he was cracking jokes or sharing stories, Bud had a knack for putting a smile on everyone's face.
Bud is preceded in death by his mother Madeline Bennett; his father: Edward Bennett; a son: Edward E. Bennett Jr.; three brothers: Ken, Tommy, and Binky Bennett; and a sister: Elsie Flowers. While their absence leaves a void in our hearts, their memories will forever be cherished.
He leaves behind a loving wife: Lou Ann Bennett; a daughter: Crystal Rivera of New York; sons: Charles Conner of Washington, NC and Jimmy Todd of Camden, NC; sisters Lena Rice, and Janet Foster of Belhaven, NC; three grandsons: Richard Todd, Julian Rivera, and Colton Conner; six granddaughters: Savannah and Kenlie Conner, Chastity, Chloe, and Hunter Bennett, and Nathalya Rivera, along with several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Joseph B. Paul Jr. Funeral Service and other times at the family home.
