During her 25 years of work at Dillons Gas and Video, people would travel far and wide just to catch a glimpse of her infectious smile. Dorothea had a way of making everyone feel welcome and loved, which was evident in the countless friendships she formed throughout her life.
Known for her genuine affection for people, Dorothea had a heart that overflowed with love. She adored her dogs and all her other critters, providing them with unconditional care and affection. When she wasn't busy spreading joy, you could find her engaging in a friendly game of Bingo or challenging her mind with Sudoku puzzles. Additionally, Dorothea possessed an extraordinary talent for crochet, crafting beautiful and intricate lace pieces that were truly a sight to behold.
Dorothea was known for her good-natured spirit and how easy she was to get along with. Her smile illuminated the room, brightening the lives of those around her. With a green thumb to envy, Dorothea's house plants flourished under her tender care.

Dorothea will be dearly missed by her surviving family and friends, including her devoted husband, Fernando Ramos Roman, her sons Michael Wayne Snyder (Melissa Sue), Chris Snyder, and Curtis Snyder Jr. (Michelle), her brother Johnny Lugo (Dawn), and her beloved grandchildren - Aaron, Lilly, Shannon, Dylan, and Brandon - as well as her cherished great-grandchildren.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Dorothea's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, September 11, 2023, at the Jamesville First Baptist Church, located at 1187 Sunset Ave, Jamesville, NC 27846. The service will be officiated by Pastor Frank Halsey Jr.
