Doris Gray Willis Warren age 88, a resident of 70 Forest Heights Road, Washington, NC died at her home on Tuesday March 27, 2018.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday March 30, 2018 at Oakdale Cemetery officiated by Rev. Daniel Haskett.
Mrs. Warren was born on September 22, 1929 in Southport, NC the daughter of the late Carl Thomas Willis and Ethel Gray Linton Willis. She married Marvin Warren on January 30, 1946 who preceded her in death on March 11, 1991. Mrs. Warren was a member of Beaver Dam Church of Christ. Doris was a dedicated wife and mother. She loved to sew, enjoyed handcrafts, fishing, bird watching and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by three daughters: Terry Warren Mitchell and husband Don "Duck" Mitchell of Washington, NC; Kristie Warren Nixon and husband Jason Nixon of Belhaven, NC; Laurie Warren Jackson and husband Travis Jackson of Washington, NC; seven grandchildren: Betsy Boyd, Wraith Aaron Leggette, Emily Lilley, Brittany Jackson, Mariah Edwards, Lane Jackson and Jensen Hawkins; six great- grandchildren and four great- great grandchildren. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers: Charles Edward Willis and Carl Thomas Willis, Jr.; a daughter: Rita Gayle Warren Williams and a grandson: Addison Charles Davis.
