Danny Ray Goff, 61, a resident of Blounts Creek, NC passed away at home on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 surrounded by his family.

He was born in Kinston, NC to Elizabeth Outlaw Goff and the late Leon “Buddy” Goff Jr. on February 1, 1962, and is survived by his wife Robin Dixon Goff; two brothers: Terry Goff and wife Bobbie Jo of Deep Run, NC, Lynwood Goff and wife Elaine of Deep Run, NC; three sisters: Barbara Setzer and husband Kelly of Tarboro NC, Janice Thompson of Deep Run, Linda Cauley and husband Chuck of Cape Carteret, NC; two daughters: Ashley Parker, Chelsea Deaver and husband Jonathan of Kinston, NC; one son: Joshua Rea of Greenville, NC; four granddaughters: Alexis and Hannah Parker, Rylee Rea, Elizabeth Deaver, two grandsons: Bryceton Deaver, Kyler Rea, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be: Terry Roberts, Randy Powell, Bill Clark, Richard Warters, Mick Lane, and Terry Goff Jr.; James Ferrell, Jonathan and Bryceton Deaver will serve in an honorary capacity.
Danny was a man of indomitable spirit. He lived a big life, with a big heart and he had big fun. Much of that heart was reserved for his children and grandchildren -who he spoiled rotten. He loved his wife Robin and his family, and he loved the water. Whether he was using it to put out fires during his tenure as Captain of the Deep Run Fire Department, or while out on his boat trying to hook some trout or flounder, water was an ever-important throughline in the story of his life.
He was taken too early, but fortunately he didn’t let his illness slow him down too much, as he was still drag-racing cars until a few months ago.
He was loved and he will be missed.
Joseph B. Paul Jr. Funeral Service is honored to assist the Goff family.
