Chad Edward Griffin
Chad Edward Griffin, devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on June 28, 2023, at the age of 52. Born on January 27, 1971, in Washington to Alton Griffin and the late Barbara Beacham Cutler, Chad brought joy and inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Throughout his life, Chad embraced various passions and followed his heart wherever it led him. He had a flourishing career in management within the hospitality food service industry, leaving a positive impact on all those he worked with. Chad's natural leadership qualities and dedication made him an invaluable asset in his field.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Chad had a zest for life and adventure. His love for travel took him to countless destinations across the globe, enriching his experiences and broadening his horizons. Additionally, Chad found solace and fulfillment in the world of theatre, cherishing the magic created on stage. Alongside this, he had an insatiable appetite for reading, always eager to dive into the pages of a new book and explore different realms of knowledge.

Above all else, Chad cherished his time spent with loved ones. Family, friends, and his coworkers held a special place in his heart, and he treasured every moment shared with them. His warm and welcoming nature made everyone feel at ease in his presence. Chad's contagious laughter and genuine care for others created enduring bonds that will be cherished forever.

Chad is survived by his loving parents, Alton and Judy Griffin, as well as his siblings Melissa Griffin, Radell (Charlie) Rasmussen, and Walt Clark, all hailing from Washington. He also leaves behind a nephew, Kevin (Amber Sproul) Griffin of Albany, GA, and four nieces: Hannah Alligood, Nikki (Michael) Quidley, Ashlee Rasmussen, and Emma Rasmussen, great-nieces, Elle Quidley, Micah Quidley, Sophia Quidley, and great-nephew Tres Quidley, all of whom will forever cherish their memories of him. Additionally, Chad is survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins who were touched by his kindness and love.

Along with his mother, Chad was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Charlie and Dallas Beacham and his paternal grandparents Elmer and Emma Griffin.

Chad Edward Griffin's departure leaves a void in the lives of all who knew him. Yet, we can take comfort in knowing that his spirit continues to inspire us. His life serves as a testament to the importance of following one's passions, nurturing relationships, and embracing every moment with enthusiasm and love.

While we mourn our loss, let us also celebrate Chad's vibrant life and the impact he had on each of us. May his memory remain etched in our hearts forever, and may we honor him by carrying his warmth, laughter, and love into the world.

I worked with Chad what seemed like 100 years ago at Houlihan's in Overland Park. I will never forget his "sermons" on Sundays as we set up the buffet. His love for life was contagious. He was such a good friend to everyone! He just had that way of making you think about the good and not so much about the difficult! And he continued to be this way through his life and illness. He will be missed by all those he touched throughout his life and I truly believe we have him in all of our corners for the rest of our lives. My thoughts and prayers are sent to his family and friends during this time.
