Carnie Lyn Cordon Rowe, age 68, a resident of Belhaven, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Vidant Medical Center.

A Celebration of life service will be held at Joseph B. Paul Jr. Funeral Service Washington Funeral & Cremation Chapel on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 1:00 PM. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 PM until the service hour. Burial will follow at the Sidney Free Will Baptist Cemetery.

Born November 3, 1953 to the late George Carnie Cordon Sr. and Margaret Best Cordon. Lyn persevered, graduating from ECU with a degree in Special Education. Lyn's career at the Chocowinity Middle School allowed her the ability to reach those children that most thought were unreachable.

Lyn is survived by the love of her life and daughter, Lora Lee Willard and husband Heath of Washington, NC; sister, Mary C. Overton of Belhaven, NC; brother, Stephen Cordon of Belhaven, NC; three grandsons, Louis Lee Beacham, Jr., Landon Lawrence Beacham, Benjamin Gysie Willard; two granddaughters, Lexie Lynn Beacham, Michaelah Grace Cherry-Willard; her soulmate and ex-husband Lawrence Thorton Rowe; and her lifelong best friends, Lorie Crigger – Hudnell and Peggy Brock VanVoltenburg.

Along with her parents, Lyn was preceded in death by her brother George Cordon, Jr..

Lyn will be remembered as a woman who loved people, loved life, and had a special gift in seeing the value of all those who she met.
