Billy Joe Bell age 52 a resident of 2048 Robersonville Road, Washington, NC died Monday, May 22, 2023.
A Graveside Service will be held 2pm June 2, 2023 at Davis Cemetery Pantego NC (Pungo Community).
Billy was born in Beaufort County on March 2, 1971 to the late Mary Lewis-Bell and Joseph Bell Sr. He is survived by his wife Michelle Bell; four sons: Braxton, Jordan, Mason, and Bentley Bell; a sister: Melissa Bell; two brothers: Ralph Jarvis and wife Christy, Jody Bell and wife Melody; four nephews: Avery, Andrew, Harrison, Hunter; two nieces: Megan and Sydney.
Billy was an active member of the community and coached scores of kids in football and traveling youth baseball. He spent decades farming before making the transition from soil to asphalt with Bell Trucking Company, which he owned and operated before its eventual closure. Trucks weren’t his only interest though; he loved drag racing and could be found in the cockpit or under the hood tinkering away, equally content from either vantage point.
