Bill Douglas Ingalls age 78, a resident of 4401 Market Street Extension, Washington, NC died Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at his home surrounded by family.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, April 26, 2019 at Graceway Pentecostal Holiness Church officiated by Rev. Linwood Lewis. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM prior to the service at the church and other times at the home. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens.

Doug was born in Beaufort County on September 8, 1940 the son of the late Gotha Ingalls and Oma Woolard Ingalls. He liked to go fishing, growing a garden in which he was worried even with his sickness about getting it ready. Doug loved talking to his friends and people in general, he enjoyed having company. He loved God and went to church whenever possible. Doug will be greatly missed by his family and all that knew him.

He is survived by Glenda Davenport Ingalls his life companion of Washington, NC; three daughters: Pearl Ingalls of Washington, NC; Ann Ingalls of Washington, NC; Billie Sue Pinkham of Washington, NC; three brothers: Dillion Ingalls and wife Gloria of Pinetops, NC; G.L. Ingalls and wife Sylvia of Chocowinity, NC; Larry Ingalls of Chocowinity, NC; two sisters: Brenda Apple of Chocowinity, NC; Barbara Leary of Washington, NC; five grandchildren: Kathy Banks, Allen Hardison, Christy Jones, Shawn Cutler, Marie Pinkham and thirteen great grandchildren: Doug Banks, Christopher West, Olivia West, Natalie Hardison, Ivy Hardison, Austin Jones, Kenny Jones, Tyler Jones, Gavin Cutler, Savannah Cutler, Jaya Cutler, Jase Cutler and Jacks Cutler. Doug was preceded in death by a grandson: John Clifton Douglas Pinkham.

Doug was a good friend and I have so many fond memories of visiting with yall and family pig pickings with the family.
