Barbara Jean Harrison age 72 a resident of 6996 Market Street Extension, Washington, NC and formerly of Prison Camp Road, Bear Grass, NC died Tuesday, May 28, 2019.
A memorial service will be held 5:00 PM Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Sweet Home Church of Christ officiated by Ward Sullivan.The family will receive friends prior to the service from 4:00 PM until the service hour at the church.
Miss Harrison was born in Beaufort County on June 14, 1946 the daughter of the late Berk Knight Harrison and Fonnie Terry Harrison. She worked with Carolina Telephone in Wiliamston then later with Sprint when they merged for 40 years until her retirement. Barbara was a member of Sweet Home Church of Christ.
She is survived by her niece: Tammy Bennett and husband Sean of Washington, NC; great nieces and nephews A.J. Congleton and wife Alexandria of Washington, NC; Amanda Stepp of Greenville, NC; Ashley Congleton of Sydney, Australia; Jennifer Congleton of Washington, NC; Joshua Congleton of Williamston, NC and six great-great nieces and nephews: Alexis, Olivia, Kalil, Taylor, Mariah and Abigail. Miss Harrison was preceded in death by a brother: Berk Knight Harrison, Jr. in 1985.
