Anthony "Redneck" W. Harris age 60 a resident of Bath, NC passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at ECU Health Beaufort Hospital.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 7:00PM Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Joseph B. Paul, Jr. Funeral Service officiated by Rev. Larry Carter. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00PM until the service hour at the funeral home.
Redneck was born on December 14, 1961 in Nashville, Georgia the son of the late Ronald "Gene" and Ruth Taylor Harris.
He was a jovial soul who lived life wide open seeking adventure. A soldier through and through proudly serving his country and receiving many awards. Redneck was an exceptional athlete with unbroken football records still held today in Berrien County Georgia. Displaying his (#3+#8) license plate showcased his dedication to NASCAR and the Earnhardt legacy. Hunting, fishing, shooting pool and enjoying time with friends brought him much fulfillment. In 2013 his life dramatically changed; Ronda and he began dating and their love only grew deeper. While they only had a short amount of time together there were many adventures. Through the good, bad and the ugly he loved her till his last breath. He also had a love and a deep connection with her sons, he cared for them in every way he could. Redneck also loved and cherished his fur-babies, Liz and Giz. Each day they greeted him with boundless energy and love, they kept him company and were loyal companions.
As their Redneck “In the Woods”, he will be forever loved and missed.
Survivors include his wife: Ronda of Bath, NC; daughter: Karla Sturycz, two stepsons: Steven Brooks, Jonathan Brooks, two sisters: Debreah Fageol of Lakeland, Georgia; Rita Carter and husband Larry of Lawtey, Florida and four grandchildren. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a sister: Cindy Gloster.
