Alton Lilley age 67 a resident of 6752 US Highway 264 E. Washington, NC died at his home on Saturday, December 7, 2019.

Alton was born in Beaufort County on June 23, 1952 the son of the late Matthew Mayo Lilley and Martha Taylor Lilley.
He loved his wife, Rachel and his cat, Mikey. Alton loved his daughter, Erin and his grandson, Parker, as he loved the rest of his family. He loved playing in his band called S.W.A.V., which stood for (Stanley Mayo, Wade Lilly, Alton, Vance Fulcher. Alton could always make you laugh by telling jokes or by the funny faces he would make. He loved taking pallets and making furniture out of them and making jewelry out of forks and spoons, loved fishing, working in his yard and especially loved having cookouts and bringing his family together. He worked at Northside High School before he retired, he also worked at Charcoal Filters, Fountain Power Boats, Hackeny & Sons, and at Ruffus Smith's Groceries at the Sidney Crossroads Location during his life. His family wishes to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers and words of comfort and peace.
He is survived by his wife: Rachel L. Lilley of the home, a daughter: Erin Mann and husband Omie of Manteo, NC; a sister: Debbie Bridgeman of Washington, NC; three brothers: Floyd Lilley and wife Joyce of Chocowinity, NC; Wade Lilly and wife Caddie of Bath, NC; Russell Lilley and wife Jean of Pinetown, NC and a grandson: Parker Daniels. Alton was preceded in death by three sisters: Shirley Mizell, Evelyn Harrell, Helen Allen and a brother: Matthew Lilley, Jr.
