Ricky Chandler, 55, passed away on October 2, 2021, at Vidant Beaufort Hospital, surrounded by family and friends. Born in Chocowinity, he was the son of Mavis Genene Chandler and the late Bobby Lee Chandler. He was employed at DSM and worked as a proprietary fiber producer. He attended Immanuel Church in Winterville and was a member of Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA).
Two of his favorite things were traveling and playing golf. He loved traveling to the mountains with family and friends while riding his motorcycle. Ricky delighted in participating in many CMA events and rallies. Time spent with his two sons and close friends was always of upmost importance to Ricky; made evident through frequent golf trips and outings they took together. He will be remembered for his continuous initiation of quality time with loved ones which often involved gathering at a lunch or dinner table. One of Ricky's most memorable gifts was his anointing as a pianist and his delight in serving others' hearts and ears through playing in several bands and churches. As he loved and served others, Ricky's commitment to his Savior was reflected by his enthusiasm in sharing his faith.
He is survived by his: wife, Bess Harrell Chandler; two sons, Joshua Braxton Chandler and girlfriend Morgan Rae Padgett, and Matthew Ryan Chandler; two brothers, Ronnie and Bobby Gene Chandler; and a sister, Cynthia Carrow.

A celebration of life service will be held 6:30 pm, Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Immanuel Church of Winterville.
